PBL Main Artefact

Hello there, yet another blog about my PBL but this time it is about my main artefact. My group was going to be making a 3D design of underground housing because our world is over populating witch means we need more space to put houses but the 3D design didn't work so we did the exact same thing but with a wooden house not 3D plastic.

As you may know we have been doing PBL because I have been talking a lot about it because my team and I have been working very hard on it for the whole term (10 weeks). I have shared a blog about the main point of it but now I will talk about our posters business cards and a lot more so I hope you enjoy the glance of our posters etc.

PBL Invitation

As you may know for the past couple of weeks we have been working on our PBL so we will now be inviting you guys to come and see all the hard work we have done for the term. I have made my poster on a website called canva, On canva you can pretty much do anything you want to from writing words to choosing backgrounds if you were to make a poster I would recommend using this site but for now I will be showing you the poster I have done and please come to see all our hard work.

PBL Checklist

As you may know we are doing PBL at the end of this term and we need something to show for it so we decide to make a house out of wood or 3d design and put it in a cardboard box so we can have underground houses in the future because our world is overpopulating and we can't just make more house we need somewhere to put them so that's what my groups doing. R.E Advertisement

For R.E this week we have been looking at all the sacraments then we had to make a poster/advertisement on what sacrament we chose. For me I picked holy orders because I think I know more things about holy orders than very other sacrament so that's what I went with. I then started to do my poster on a website called "Canva" I got all the pictures and information I needed then I was finished. Here is a picture below of what my poster ended up like.

Science Investigation

For science this week we had to group up with a buddy and find our own science investigation. For my buddy I pick one of my best friends called Brent so Brent and I went off a found a science experiment. We finally found one that will work it was called "The Pumpkin Volcano" So we went off a did our experiment and we writ down the science behind it but... It failed and nothing happened so the teachers helped us with an investigation and the question was " How High Does Your Heart Rate Go When Doing Different Physical Activity" So that's what we did I hope you enjoy our graphs and science behind it all.

What Have You Done For Science Before ?

Food Bank

This week for Volunteering my group went to the food bank witch is an organisation that helps people when they have no food to eat or is feeling quite down down about themselves so we went to the food bank to help pack the foods so people can have good things to eat and also we need to watch out for the things we put in them like cans because if somebody is homeless they don't have can openers so we need to watch out for that. After all I had a great time with my friends and hopefully we go back there soon.

My Finished Narrative Writing

As you guys know I have been working on my future narrative writing and finally I have finished it. This narrative is close to 3 pages long but still only 2 pages long because I didn't want to go over the limit. I was very exited when I finished this writing because I know how much time and effort I have put into this I hope you enjoy reading my narrative down below.

Winter Sport

This term for winter sport we got into teams of what sport we wanted to play (witch for me it was football) and go down to hagley park and vs other schools at the sport we were playing. My team was very good at playing football and we won most of our games witch meant our coach would give us some lollies each. Our school had a couple of sports to pick from From netball,hockey,football and rugby.

Reading Slides

For the past 5 weeks we have been finishing off our reading slides because we have all already finished our novels so as you know I finished the book called Through Thick And Thin. Narrative Writing

For writing this term we were writing a whole narrative witch will be 2 pages long. For our narratives we had to make a plan and for my one I decided to do it based on the future so my problem for the story was when a robot will take over your job and to see if you get your job back. Have You Ever Written A Whole Novel Before?

Technology

For Technology this term I have been doing wood work and first I cut  out the first letter of my name witch is - J - and we made a name tag out of it. After that I went on to make a prototype box witch I had to use heaps of different drills and hole punchers and then I put in the screws and I was finished. Finally I am now making my bigger box witch is the same as the prototype but much bigger so I am looking forward to finishing.

Reading Task

For Reading this week we were doing predicting and inferring we then had to write up a document and do what we were learning on our novels we were reading that week and I of course read a book called through thick and thin so I did a prediction and another prediction of what the author was thinking. Have you ever predicted what was happening in your book before?

Science

For science this term I was learning about the heart rate and how the heart rate can grow because we need to learn how to keep our healthy hearts. If we do not keep a healthy heart it means our fitness levels are going down which means we can't do sport and I know how much sport means to me because it's the only thing I'm good at.
