 This week for Cybersmart we have been listing all of our idea's on what is a nice thing to say online and what is bad things to say online. I then paired up with Jayden and we got started. We then made a google drawing and split it into 2 so that we could name all the different things. This is what we have done.

 This week for writing our goal was to Create content that is concise and relevant to the curriculum task .Selects words and phrases to enhance meaning and/or mood. I then wrote a paragraph about poverty and how this is not right. This is my paragraph....

$1.90 a day. Imagine living on $1.90 a day for the rest of

your life. People in third world countries have been living on

this money maybe even less since they got into a Job.

These people getting underpaid in these countries are also

working way harder than half the people in first world

countries. For jobs they have been having to harvest food

and find water and then sell it to other people. With the

money they plant more crops to get more money, but still

after spending the money on crops they have barely enough

money to provide their families.

This week for Writing we have been working on our persuasive writing. We then picked a category witch I chose poverty. Our goal was to Understand the purposes for writing and how to achieve those purposes.Select and explore significant ideas, developing main points with specific detail.

42,000 people had been having to move out of their homes in third and fourth world countries just because of conflict. Imagine you had to give up your home just because your country was turning on each other. Money, Money is a big thing in countries like Niger and South Sudan they can hardly live on the money they are being given which means they have no sources for their family like food and water. What are you going to do about this, are you going to just let these people word way harder than you and still get paid way less than you. We need to make a change now not in the nearby future but now.

This week for Maths we have been working on Are and Perimeter and this is what the teachers gave us.... With your maths mate, work together to solve the following maths problems. Be prepared to share your problem solving with your workshop group in your share session on Wednesday or Thursday. This week will finish off our intro into the Writing Rainbow. This flows on really well from the work you did last week. Our goal was to have an understanding of the fantastics and the boomtastics and how authors use these in their writing to have a greater impact on the reader. We then ha to go on a google slide and copy and paste what we thought was fantastics in our reading.

This week for writing our goal was to use a range of written features to engage the audience support ideas with detail.

The old lady was scary

The old lady was scary and walking closer with a lollipop as a walking stick. 

“What are you doing to my house little boy” Said the witch

“Just having some pieces of this house, Is it yours” Said Hansel 

“Yes this is my house” Said the Witch

“ Would I be allowed one more piece of candy” Said Gretel

“Sure Come Inside” Said the witch. 

Hansel and Gretel walked into the house but it was dark and mysterious. “This doesn't feel right to me ” said Hansel “Me neither” said Gretel.

Suddenly The old lady turned into a witch, Hansel and Gretel were trying to run away but the witch quickly threw them both into a cage. “Girl you can be my servant so get out of the cage” Said the witch, as she grabs Gretel out of the cage. After a while of being fed up by the witch Hansel realised what she was trying to do. She was trying to get Hansel fat so that when she went to eat Hansel he was fat. Hansel then showed the witch a chicken bone so it looked like he was getting skinnier and skinnier.  The witch then took Hansel out of the cage but when the kids had their chance they pushed the witch into the fire and the witch was never to be seen again. The kids found their way home and lived happily ever after.

This week in reading we will be using the Fantastics to analyse a text and discuss the importance of transferring our knowledge of the Fantastics across reading and writing and read like writers. We then had to read a book of the teachers choice and name all of the Fantastics. This was the final outcome.

This week for writing we had to write about Hansel and Gretel but we had to give the story our own touch. Our goal for this week was use a range of written features to engage the audience.

Hansel and Gretel

They froze. They froze stress fully. They froze stress fully and anxiously until they

dashed into the forest. While Hansel and Gretel were walking through the forest they

came across a house but this was no ordinary house. They then realise that this house

is made of candy and boy do they love filling up their bellies, The smell of sweet and sour

gummy bears flew into Hansel's nostrils. This house has a tall gingerbread chimney,

m & m door and a chocolate fountain as a centrepiece. They knew they shouldn’t have

touched the house but the sweet and salty pretzels tickled their taste buds. They then

realised they shouldn’t have gone in the forest but the temptation was real. They knew

they mustn't touch the house but the smell of sour lemonade lingered into their nose. I’m

frightened, said Gretel, It’s fine just keep going, said Hansel when he knew that they

should turn around. Hansel and Gretel tread through the depressing forest. The wind

howled like a werewolf on a full moon. The next thing they do is start eating the whole

house one candy at a time but suddenly they hear a voice yelling at them. A little old

lady then stops to stare at the children and says “ Don't be scared my children come

inside. I don’t bite ( or do I )” she said under her breath. THE END .

This Week for maths our goal was to  sort and classify the following 2D & 3D Shapes I will show you what we had to do for our create task now, I hope you enjoy.

For this create task we had to learn about all of the different types of shapes, we then had to order the shapes into the column that it needed to go into. After we had done that we had to find out the following: Platonic or Non Platonic, Polyhedra or non poly hydra, Number of vertices, number of edges, number of faces and if we could name house hold items.

For the next create task we had to make different types of cubes. We then had to put all of the cubes that we made together to make a giant type of box. We also had to do other shapes I will show you them now.

This week for writing our goal was to use a variety of sentences structures, beginnings and lengths to give effect. In week 8 we were told to write our own narrative you might remember this from my week 8 blog post. If you don't remember I will inform you that I have written a narrative call the adventures of gangsta cat bug. If you have not read this yet just scroll down to week 8 and have a read of it. For maths this week we have been learning about what a scatter plot is. Our teacher then challenged us to make a scatter plot of our own. I decided to do my scatter plot about age and how many hoops you can get in the hoop. I then placed all my data on a google slide this is my final slide.

For reading this week we have been learning about what is the difference between a fact and an opinion. The teacher that was working with my group was telling us that we had to choose an article and then have a fact and an opinion on it this is the poster I have made for the fact or opinion.

This week for maths we have decided to make a spinwheel about what you could do during lock down. We then had to spin the wheel 30 times to get a tele chart of what do do during lock down. I then made the tele chart and made 3 statements about it. I hope you enjoy my poster.

This week for writing we have been working on a rap / poem, I have decided to do a rap. For this rap I have changed up the words of the fresh prince of bel air theme song to how my life has been in lockdown I hope that you enjoy listening.

Now, this is a Rap all about how My life got flipped-turned into lockdown And I'd like to take a breath Just sit right there I'll tell you how I became glued, glued to my chair In Shirley Christchurch born and raised On Netflix was where I spent all of my  days just Chillin' out watching relaxin   all cool And all getting ready for my online school When my sister wanted netflix oh no, no  good She was making trouble in my chillin hood We go in one little fight and my mom got scared She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in your chair
