For writing this term we were writing a whole narrative witch will be 2 pages long. For our narratives we had to make a plan and for my one I decided to do it based on the future so my problem for the story was when a robot will take over your job and to see if you get your job back. Have You Ever Written A Whole Novel Before?

Technology

For Technology this term I have been doing wood work and first I cut  out the first letter of my name witch is - J - and we made a name tag out of it. After that I went on to make a prototype box witch I had to use heaps of different drills and hole punchers and then I put in the screws and I was finished. Finally I am now making my bigger box witch is the same as the prototype but much bigger so I am looking forward to finishing.

Reading Task

For Reading this week we were doing predicting and inferring we then had to write up a document and do what we were learning on our novels we were reading that week and I of course read a book called through thick and thin so I did a prediction and another prediction of what the author was thinking. Have you ever predicted what was happening in your book before?

Science

For science this term I was learning about the heart rate and how the heart rate can grow because we need to learn how to keep our healthy hearts. If we do not keep a healthy heart it means our fitness levels are going down which means we can't do sport and I know how much sport means to me because it's the only thing I'm good at. I will now show you my plan I did for science, I hope you enjoy.

Reading Create Task

This week for reading we have been reading a book called Square Eyes. We have been reading this book because we have been preparing for the future and what it will bring us. We had to make 3 predictions during the book and then make a summary and finally we seen if our predictions were right. During this book we made a template to see our predictions recorded down, this was my template.

Stanford University Maths Reflection

This term for maths we had to sign up for a maths coarse with Stanford university and solve some maths problems. At the start of your lesson it would show you about what you were learning and then give you a quiz on if you new what you were learning about then finally at the end we would get a test.

Lesson 1:

I have learned in lesson 1 that if you are successful and like maths already, you will succeed and also if you struggle in maths it is good because you will be learning from the mistakes .You can always try and try again until you get the questions correctly witch means you are learning and you can show it by struggling.

Lesson 2:

I learned in lesson 2 that everyone minds grow with maths because in maths you always struggle witch means you are learning and when you are learning you are getting better at the strategy that you have been working on and also if you are struggling you can just try and try again.

Lesson 3:

I learned in lesson 3 that it is good to make mistakes because then you can learn more and you can try and try again. Also I learned that if you get your question wrong and someone else gives you the answer you can just ask for a different question and work it out the same way but even if that has a mistake in it you always that that you are learning and trust  me you WILL get it right one day.

Lesson 4:

That you need to struggle in order to succeed because when you are struggling you are learning from your mistakes so more mistakes you make the more you learn. If your teacher see's you struggling the probably won't help because they know each time you try that you are learning.

Lesson 5:

I learnt in lesson 5 that whenever you are making a question for someone that you always check your sizing of the shape because if the shapes are not the same size your question could go horribly wrong. Also when you are working a problem check out what part of the shape is shaded the count how many there is.

Lesson 6:

I think maths is fun because you can always find different answers and ways to solve the question and it makes it more and more challenging.
