Predictions

This week for reading we have been learning about predictions. First we had to make a template to see if our predictions were right and then right if we were right.

Technology 2019

This term for technology my class is doing sewing. Our aim this term is to end up with a full sewn cushion. We get to pick all the colours and fabric for our cushion so for the first few weeks we have just been learning how to use a sewing machine and how to set the machine up before using it and also have been testing our learning off on a test fabric so we can learn how to make our cushion but not start on it. Next time you hear from me I will have a fully sewn cushion.

Have you ever been to something like technology?

Have you ever sewn a cushion before?

If so comment down below.

Speech intro for 2019

                           Speech intro

This year for writing we have been learning how to do speeches so far I have done an intro for my speech but not the mains. In my speech I will be talking about racism I hope you enjoy.

I was at my new job and my co worker asked for my name so I responded. He seemed confused by it. He reiterated his question, like I hadn’t heard him. This time he added loudly No! What is your christian name. I’m not religious but why was I not acceptable with my name. This was a story of a 30 year old woman in Cashmere that was accepted at her new job- Canterbury.

Cross Country

This year at St Francis of Assisi school we got the opportunity to do cross country witch is when you have to run a certain amount of laps so 1 lap is 1k but my age group had to run 3k witch meant I had to run 3 laps of the field. It was so hard not to stop running but I kept my pace and kept running but unfortunately one of my shoes fell of on my first lap so for the other 2 laps I had to run with one shoe so that was quite annoying but I kept trying my hardest and finished to race in 4th place witch means I get to go to zones witch is were you vs other school's in your zone and if you win that you go on to Canterbury witch obviously mean you vs the hole of Canterbury that's what i'll be aiming for but I don't know if I will but hopefully my shoe doesn't fall of.

If you have done cross country what place have you come, comment down below.

Discrimination art

This term for PBL (project based learning) we have been learning about discrimination so we decided to base our art on it so that's what we did. First we had to take a picture of ourselves and after that we had to get a quote to put next to our photo then put some symbols that we liked to place around our poster and then finally we had to put a slogan so for mine it was help stop discrimination as you can see in the bottom left hand corner so I hope you enjoy looking at my poster and just think how you can help stop discrimination today.
