This Week for maths our goal was to  sort and classify the following 2D & 3D Shapes I will show you what we had to do for our create task now, I hope you enjoy.

For this create task we had to learn about all of the different types of shapes, we then had to order the shapes into the column that it needed to go into. After we had done that we had to find out the following: Platonic or Non Platonic, Polyhedra or non poly hydra, Number of vertices, number of edges, number of faces and if we could name house hold items.

For the next create task we had to make different types of cubes. We then had to put all of the cubes that we made together to make a giant type of box. We also had to do other shapes I will show you them now.

This week for writing our goal was to use a variety of sentences structures, beginnings and lengths to give effect. In week 8 we were told to write our own narrative you might remember this from my week 8 blog post. If you don't remember I will inform you that I have written a narrative call the adventures of gangsta cat bug. If you have not read this yet just scroll down to week 8 and have a read of it. I then had to change the words to make the sentence a compound sentence. I will now show you the template we have used to o this now..............

For maths this week we have been learning about what a scatter plot is. Our teacher then challenged us to make a scatter plot of our own. I decided to do my scatter plot about age and how many hoops you can get in the hoop. I then placed all my data on a google slide this is my final slide.

For reading this week we have been learning about what is the difference between a fact and an opinion. The teacher that was working with my group was telling us that we had to choose an article and then have a fact and an opinion on it this is the poster I have made for the fact or opinion.

This week for maths we have decided to make a spinwheel about what you could do during lock down. We then had to spin the wheel 30 times to get a tele chart of what do do during lock down. I then made the tele chart and made 3 statements about it. I hope you enjoy my poster.

This week for writing we have been working on a rap / poem, I have decided to do a rap. For this rap I have changed up the words of the fresh prince of bel air theme song to how my life has been in lockdown I hope that you enjoy listening.

Now, this is a Rap all about how My life got flipped-turned into lockdown And I'd like to take a breath Just sit right there I'll tell you how I became glued, glued to my chair In Shirley Christchurch born and raised On Netflix was where I spent all of my  days just Chillin' out watching relaxin   all cool And all getting ready for my online school When my sister wanted netflix oh no, no  good She was making trouble in my chillin hood We go in one little fight and my mom got scared She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in your chair

For writing this week we have been in our home bases and we have been working on a task witch is a short story about your new character witch I have done on gangsta catbug. I hope you enjoy reading my narrative writing.

It was a normal morning for Catbug. He had a shower, brushed his teeth and combed his ears. It was all going well until the afternoon. In the afternoon A group of dogs came up to him. He thought it was a gang because they said that they would like to recruit him because he looked like a bad boy. Catbug said he didn’t want anything to do with a gang so he said no to the decision but unfortunately for catbug I don’t think that it was a choice. Catbug Screamed and Shouted but no one came to help him; he was doomed for the rest of his life. Then he realised the dogs had placed him down in an old abandoned warehouse. They then left the room and came back in police outfits. Catbug thought that they had been dressed as cops for disguise but he was wrong.

The dogs were in fact not gang members, they were actually the police. After Catbug found this out he didn’t know what they wanted from them but he could not speak to them because his mouth was closed shut by one strip of tape. The dogs then pulled the tape off of his mouth with rage. Catbug said “ Why am I here? ”  The dogs replied with “ Woof Woof ” Catbug did not understand so he got the dogs to speak english. The head dog then yelled with a deep and croaky voice “ WHY DID YOU SAY NO TO OUR RECRUIT `` '' I thought that you were gang members ” Catbug replied The dog then untied catbug from where he was and asked him again if he wanted to be recruited but this time they so for the police.

Catbug then got told to suit up in all of the appropriate gear but he didn’t like the look of the plain old police uniform so he switched it up a bit and went shopping.Catbug then came back with all of the shopping bags and went to the changing rooms to get changed. The dogs then yelled        “ You out yet “ Catbug came walking out wearing…… Gold chains, Red face mask, an earing, and thug sunglasses. The dogs then made a name for him……… Gangsta Catbug. Catbug then went on amazing missions until one, He had to save the world before a Gangsta Cat could destroy the planet. Gangsta Catbug had to think fast, he raced over to where Gangsta cat was and swooped in from above.Gangsta Catbug then tackled Gangsta Cat to the ground and said “ There’s only one Gangsta in this town ” After Gangsta Catbug saved the world from dying he then went on to be the best cop or as the dogs call them  Gangsta Catbug. Catbug then fought crime everywhere until one day  Gangsta Catbug saw another bomb but this time it was Gangsta Cat.

For writing this week my friends and I have decided to make a rap about catbug but we change it up a little bit. We then decided to call it Gangta Catbug. I hope that you enjoy reading our rap an that you will decide to maybe make a rap of your own.... 

GANGSTA CATBUG!

Meet catbug-a-mix of a ladybug sleeping on a rug looking pretty snug. He's going to steal your heart like a thug. Whatcha didn’t know is that he was a cat,he drinks his water from a hat. Don’t pat his fur or he’ll give you a scratch. Now he’s got racks livin in a batch. Catbugs on another level. Now he’s got a girlfriend called pebble.Whatcha didn’t know is that she is a rock. His nickname is clutch but that's a bit much. He is so poppin so he said keep in touch.

For reading this week we have been reading a book called the wind chimes. Our teacher then said we had to come up with our own 3 key idea's is the story and then we had to write why we thought this. This is my final product......

Relationships: I think that the 2 different relationships in the story were with Tre and Muse because they became good friends over the journey. The other relationship was with Tre and his family because Tre really wanted to try and find his parents and they had a deep connection with each other.

Key Ideas: 

1. Searching For his parents - I think that this is 1 of the key Ideas because it was the main part of the story. Tre wanted to find his parents  so this is why I think that this is an important key Idea.

2. The Wind Chimes - I think that this is also a key Idea because Tre’s Mother would always make wind chimes. Apart of the story was when Tre finds the wind chimes as a clue.

3. Muse - I think That Muse was a key point in the story because she helped Tre look for his parents and because it was good help for Tre.

For Maths in lock down we had to make our own statistical investigation and I decided to do the most common team sport witch is Basketball and the most individual sport witch is Athletics. I then decided to do the different ages and then I made 3 statements. Here is my final product.

For writing this week we have been working on our complex sentences. We then had to write a quick story that had 200 to 350 words and that is when we had to finish. I will now show you my story witch is called " The Octo-Hunter" I hope you enjoy.

The Octohunter

As tourists are walking around the beehive they realise that something is moving mysteriously out of the water but they thought nothing of it. 2 days later , more tourists noticed something in the water so they organized some local scuba divers to go down and have a look at what was happening, When the scuba divers went into the water they never came back up. This then got brought to New Zealand's prime minister Jacinda Ardern, she wanted to confirm that something was in there without someone going into the water so she brought a waterproof drone so she could use that.

Jacinda got her I.T man to come down and fly the drone for her and that's exactly what he did. When the drone was in the water it couldn’t spot anything until a cute little octopus came out from nowhere so they just wanted to go back to land until they were flying the drone out of the water. The cute little octopus got lager and lager and completely ate the drone. The octopus then vanished and Jacinda needed a plan to defeat this creature, She then decided to call it the octohunter.

Crash, Boom the octohunter came straight out of the water and headed straight for the beehive, Jacinda had to think quick and push down on this red button that knowone knew what did but it didn't do anything. Jacinda said “just sit back and relax” The octohunter then tackled the beehive and a gigantic bee came out of it Jacinda told everybody “She called it the attacker bee” The two monters then destroyed each other but the octohunter had to get back to water and quick. But the attacker bee thinked quick and got its stinger and went straight into the octo hunter forehead and he blew up into 1 million pieces. Jacinda knew that nothing could beat the attacker bee so she tld Simon bridges if he ever was in a bad situation just click a red button.

Brent: Oi look there is a scrap over there. Let's watch.

Arie: Comma

Jayden: We truly are the greatest of friends, Group hug!

Arie: Yes I agree we are the greatest of friends to have ever experienced friendship.

Jack: I love you guys

Jayden: Garlic Naans on me

Ethan:Let's go jump them leo

Arie,  Jayden and Jack: *hug*

Jayden: Where we droppin boi’s?

Jack: oh no here we go again

Arie: Remember that play we need to make? we should do that now

Jayden: The sun rose

Jayden: the sound of fists colliding made me wake up hungry for blood.

Jack : Ethan woke up Comma  I wanna Scrap Leo behind da Hall 

Ethan: Brent gets out of bed Comma Decides to slap Arie in the Mouth

Brent : Ethan gets out of bed  Brent decides to get up at the same time but at different houses.

Arie: why do you smell like fish jayden?

( Jayden tried to hit ethan sandys on the head misses, gets him back. )

( Jack splits them up and gets drop to the ground by Brent )

For reading in lock down it was Anzac day and the teachers got us to learn all about the world war and so for reading we were given books to read and I chose one to write on called " Lest We Forget " I then had a reading template to use and what we had to do was write the chapter it was on , a screenshot from the text and what this made you feel about. This week for Maths the teachers have decided to give us a choice between 3 different tasks - Beginner, Stepping up and Confident I had decide that I wasn't that good at maths and not that bad so I chose to do the middle option witch was stepping up. After we had finished all the questions we had to choose 4 different problems to video and show people how you did them. We had to pick 2 Place Value and 2 Reversibility. I then made a video above this paragraph with I showed you how to work out 2 Place Value and 2 Reversibility.
