Stanford University Maths Reflection

This term for maths we had to sign up for a maths coarse with Stanford university and solve some maths problems. At the start of your lesson it would show you about what you were learning and then give you a quiz on if you new what you were learning about then finally at the end we would get a test.

Lesson 1:

I have learned in lesson 1 that if you are successful and like maths already, you will succeed and also if you struggle in maths it is good because you will be learning from the mistakes .You can always try and try again until you get the questions correctly witch means you are learning and you can show it by struggling.

Lesson 2:

I learned in lesson 2 that everyone minds grow with maths because in maths you always struggle witch means you are learning and when you are learning you are getting better at the strategy that you have been working on and also if you are struggling you can just try and try again.

Lesson 3:

I learned in lesson 3 that it is good to make mistakes because then you can learn more and you can try and try again. Also I learned that if you get your question wrong and someone else gives you the answer you can just ask for a different question and work it out the same way but even if that has a mistake in it you always that that you are learning and trust  me you WILL get it right one day.

Lesson 4:

That you need to struggle in order to succeed because when you are struggling you are learning from your mistakes so more mistakes you make the more you learn. If your teacher see's you struggling the probably won't help because they know each time you try that you are learning.

Lesson 5:

I learnt in lesson 5 that whenever you are making a question for someone that you always check your sizing of the shape because if the shapes are not the same size your question could go horribly wrong. Also when you are working a problem check out what part of the shape is shaded the count how many there is.

Lesson 6:

I think maths is fun because you can always find different answers and ways to solve the question and it makes it more and more challenging.

Fitness Circuit

At the start of this term we had to make a fitness circuit with a buddy I picked my best friend's Jayden and Brent we made one involving basketball we hope you enjoy.

Term 3 Driving Question

Welcome to my blog for term 3 of 2019  today I will be sharing with you what our project based learning driving question is, it is what will the future need from us. So what we have been learning about obviously is the future what we have been looking at is robots and how they can change the future because they can steal our jobs and way way more so now I will now talk to you guys a bit more about how robots can effect our future.

Robot's can change our future because they can steal our jobs because there is even a website that you can check if a robot will steal you job in the near by future and also robots can even be a citizen in any place in the world so if you destroy a robot it will be classed as a murder and you will go to jail because the robot is a citizen. 

PBL Reflection Blog

Today I will be talking to you guys about what our live day was about so let me start with the official live stream. So what happened was my partner and I (Jayden Sequeira) were very nervous and were scared if we were going to talk to loud or to quiet or even if we would talk to fast but our lovely teachers bribed us good and we were not nervous for much longer. This term for art we had to make a self portrait our of pictures on google drawings. We had to take a photo and then put pixels over your face. All my friends did very well and then their was my one and it was very bad . It is too bad to show on m blog put I might put it in another blog

Winter sport

This term every Thursday we go out for a sport that we chose at the start of the year I chose soccer so that I could be with my best friend Brent it was very fun playing football with him. Most of my friends were playing rugby but at least I got to play with Brent.

For reading this week we were reading about discrimination we first learned about racism and then we read about ageism we first saw in racism that a girl didn't know anything about her race but everyone assumed she did and then we saw that just because this woman was old that they thought she could't do anything. This term for problem solving we had to make a video on a task we were given called stairs to squares. We had to figure out all the questions and then make a video on screencastify of how we did it this is my final product.

Breakout EDU

This term our googles set up a game which we had to escape the room so it was basically a escape room. We were in our quiz groups my group did pretty well because we worked as a team and not individuals. we eventually finished with 23 minutes to spare because we worked very well together.

This term for reading we had to do a book review on any book I chose a book all about Kyrie Irving my favourite basketball player. After that we had to fill out the black on a sheet of paper we have been given this is my final product.

Teacher Strike

On the 6-10 of May 2019 all primary school teachers went on a strike to get more money and more time to educate the children. I think this is good because they would like more time teach us more educational things like maths, reading etc. This is cool because our teachers went into town and chanted just for us.

Diana Isac visit

This week my class went down to Diana Isac rest home to play bingo and some board games they were so nice to us because when they won they got chocolates and then they would give the chocolate to us. It was very cool talking to the old people and hearing their story's I am looking forward to going back next year.
