Caritas reading

Hi guys welcome back to my blog today I will be talking about the book that I read it is all about caritas so why don't we get into the blog right away.

Today for reading we read a book all about caritas, caritas is an organisation that helps the sick and the poor. I read about how caritas helps others but not just the sick and the poor they also go out of their way to buy food and drinks for people that are homeless. They also provide homeless shelters around the globe so that people can have a roof above there head. My friend Jayden and I built a system to help the water ways for the homeless and the poor. This is the final product.

Have you ever heard about caritas?

The formula of shapes

Hi guys welcome back to my blog about my learning but this time it will be based just around maths and what I have been learning because we have goals for everything the goal for this maths workshop is ... Use a variety of strategies to calculate the area of rectangles, parallelograms, and triangles lets get right into the blog.

So for the workshop DLO we had to find out the formulas for the different shapes the shapes we had to find out were a parallelogram, rectangle and triangle so then we had to make 2 sets of question for every shape and we also had to learn the different formulas for the different shapes I will tell you the shapes and the formula's I learnt this week. The parallelogram's formula is base times height (BxH) so it means you have to times the bottom of the parallelogram but also cut off a bit of the side to find the height and then you would times them together. The triangle is half base times height (1/2 BxH) but there is one change the equation after you have finished multiplying them you have to half you answer witch makes it different to the parallelogram. The rectangle is not base times height (BxH) but it is the length times the width (LxW) so you would have to times the width of the area by the length of the area. In all my learning was the formula of the parallelogram, the triangle and the rectangle. The parallelogram is BxH, The triangle is 1/2 BxH and the rectangle is LxW so now when I go to learn about the area and the perimeter I will know the formula's to work the equation out.

Have you ever learnt about the formula of a shape before?

SFOA School Fair

Hi guys I am back with another blog but this time it will be based around our school fair and about what I have learnt in my writing workshop so lets get right into the blog.......

For writing this week we have been working on creating content that is concise and relevant to the curriculum task and because the fair is coming up we decided to make a game and write instructions my group has chosen to do a game called Chopstick Picking witch is a game that you pick up as many objects as you can with chopsticks and at the end the person with the most objects wins a block of chocolate. We decided to do this game because the section that all these games are at will just be for the year 1/2's and so we had to really think when we were doing our instructions because if we went into detail the year 1/2's wouldn't understand how to play so we had to try and make it as simple as we could just so that the year 1/2's would know hat game they were playing and how to play it. We also decided to make a prize for this game so that more and more year 1/2's would come and play it and also because they all love to eat chocolate.

Have you ever done chopstick picking at a fair before?

The treaty of Waitangi

Hey guys welcome back to yet another blog I hope you guys had a wonderful Waitangi day and had heaps of fun. Today I will be talking to you about what I have been learning about the treaty and what the treaty is so lets get right into it.

Image result for treaty of waitangiCaptain cook first discovered Aoteroa and had told the Queen that it was safe to live on and for others to live on so she headed to Aoteroa. When the Queen got there, there were Maori chiefs and they thought that the land was theirs to own so the Queen went back to England to think of an idea. She decided to create a treaty so the all people (Maori and British) could live there. The treaty was then signed on the 6 of February 1840 and all Maori and British lived in peace.

How was your Waitangi day?

Kauepeka 2020

Hi guys welcome back to my blogger in 2020, hope that you had an amazing holiday and did some fun stuff. Today I will be talking about my hopes for the 2020 school year and about some fun stuff I did in the holidays so lets get into the blog.

My hopes for 2020 is that I can get into the PALS leadership group and PALS stands Physical Activity Leaders and I would like to be in it so that I can help set up some games for the younger children so that they can be more active. In the holidays I didn't do much but I did have my football trials and they went quite well but the only thing bad about this is that some of my friends didn't want to be in that team because the price to play 1 season has gone up and are not willing to pay the money. It is sad to see some of my friends leave the team but I guess it wasn't up to there decision it was all put onto the parents.

Thanks for tuning in and I hope you have a great year ahead of you.

What did you do in the holidays?
